It’s not easy being a teenager these days. Well really…has being a teenager EVER been easy?!? But in reality our young people have added pressures nowadays that we didn’t have to deal with. Technology, media, and an instantaneous society with information, positive and negative, at our fingertips and in our faces 24/7. It has put our kids at risk…in a big way. And the risk I am referring to are all of the not-so-positive thoughts and ideas that can easily permeate their brains, allowing them to believe things about themselves, others and the world that simply aren’t true. So how do you create that perfect bubble that protects your teen from the bad and only allows in the good? You don’t. You can’t. But what you can DO do is equip them. Allow them to reach out and grow and live those exciting teenage years by learning skills and tools that will benefit them for their LIFETIME. Had I known the power of personal development as a teenager…wow…I can’t even imagine how incredible that would have been! I was fortunate enough to be introduced to the book “Think and Grow Rich” when I was in my late 20’s and that one book opened my eyes to a new way of looking at life. And let me be clear, it had nothing to do with money, and everything to do with THINKING! I became engulfed in the concept of achievement, growing, empowering others, and it has become my life’s work. My mission. It is my moral obligation to share what I have been blessed to learn directly from the best while crafting my own ideas and teachings along the way. And here is what I hear time and again from our U & Improved graduates: “Jodi, U & Improved has absolutely changed my life! I can’t even believe how much I have grown and how much better all of the different areas of my life have become since attending the classes! Oh if I had only seen this when I was younger….” Well, I have heard that SO often, and thought it so often myself, that I figured, “leaders take action!”…it’s time for me to DO something about this! So on August 15th, 2014, we will launch our first “U the TEEN Leader” 2.5 day long class, for high school students aged 14-18! I can’t wait. Seriously, I am giddy with excitement. Why? Because I know EXACTLY what these young people are going to experience and I know that in those 2.5 days we are going to improve a lot of lives…and not just the lives of the students in that class, but the lives of their family members, their friends, their communities, and yes, I’ll say it….even the world. What we do is THAT powerful. AND that long-lasting. U & Improved is making a MASSIVE dent in the Universe, and I am proud to share with the world that we are now making sure we start that process with some of the newest young minds that will be leading our world and watching over future generations of OUR families. I couldn’t be more excited, more proud and more passionate about the impact “U the Teen Leader” will have, and I invite you to learn more, introduce a teen or the parent of a teen, come to the graduation…or all of the above. And one word of advice…bring the tissues!!! Register a Teen Today!! I will see UUU there!
